Placer Community Theater presents She Loves Me, the most charming musical ever written.
She Loves Me takes place in the 1930s and is based on the film The Shop Around the Corner (also the premise for You've Got Mail). This is the classic tale of a couple who feud in real life, but unknowingly become pen pals and fall in love. It is the rare musical theatre aficionado who doesn't have a soft spot in their heart for this intimate show, considered by many the most charming musical ever written. Funny, intelligent, honest and sentimental, She Loves Me is a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old world elegance and nostalgia, yet as universal and relevant as ever in this age of internet romances.

| PCT’s recent endeavors include two successful original productions, Toxic, a dark comedy written by local playwright and Sierra College Instructor Stephen W. Sterling and The Interviews, written by local playwright Brian Jagger, which was nominated by SARTA for a Best Original Script Elly.
PCT also produced the first live theatrical production in decades at the historic State Theater in Auburn last August. Mid-life!The Crisis Musical ended a successful run with 8 sold-out performances.
Placer Community Theater is a non-profit theater group, based in Auburn and is proud to support local writers and musicians, bringing their original works to life on the stage.
PCT offers support and scholarships to local youth in Placer and surrounding counties. |
