The League of Sacramento Theatres is a nonprofit organization established in 1998 to unite, strengthen and advance theatre in the greater Sacramento region. The League consists of producing theatres (professional, community and educational) as well as individual theatre artists. All are committed to fostering and promoting quality theatre by developing and facilitating effective communication within the theatre community and members of the community-at-large for the interchange and development of ideas relating to the theatre and related arts. By sponsoring workshops, artistic discussions and serving as a clearinghouse for information regarding technical, artistic, and administrative aspects of theatre production, the League promotes community interest in theatre arts and supports the development of live theatre.
