The Stage Nine Theatre at 705 Sutter St. in Historic Folsom will be holding a benefit performance of Folsom’s Saga of Sagebrush Sal on Thursday, August 7 at 8:00pm for Georgina Coleman. Georgina, Director/Owner of Center Stage Dance Academy of El Dorado Hills, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer in May 2008. She was immediately scheduled for surgery at the beginning of June which resulted in her absence from the CSDA annual dance performance. Georgina will now undergo an intense series of chemotherapy treatments through the end of 2008.
Everyone is pulling together to keep the dance studio under full operation in her absence, with instructors stepping up to cover her classes and others ensuring the day to day business operations are handled. CSDA is celebrating its 7th year in El Dorado Hills at their beautiful new location in the Safeway shopping center (2203 Francisco Drive) - with classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Break Dancing, Polynesian, Celtic, Theatre, Cheer & Ballroom, there is something for everyone at CSDA.
100% of the proceeds from this benefit will assist Georgina with the multitude of medical expenses that have accumulated during her hospitalization and treatments. We thank you for your support and generosity.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15.00 for children 12 and under. Call (916) 353-1001 to make your reservations. Seating is reserved. If the 8:00pm show fills up, we will add an additional performance at 6:00pm. Free parking is available at the new Folsom Parking Facility by the Light Rail Station.

Come to Fairytale Town for a final night of wonderful Wizarding as we bid a fond farewell to our favorite Hogwarts’ alumni. The final Harry Potter night at Fairytale Town takes place on Sunday, July 27, 2008,from 6pm to 9pm, and will feature all the magical fun and surprises you’ve come to expect at this unique family event. Children—and parents—have one last chance to attend the entertaining and peculiar classes in magic and wizardry offered by our own eccentric fantasy faculty. Costumes are strongly encouraged for one and all.
(Muggles & Squibs are also welcome, of course.)
The final Harry Potter night at Fairytale Town is a special ticketed event.
Admission is $7. per person (Adults & Children), $5. for Members.
(Age 2 and under are free).

The International Festival at Fairytale Town is a joyous celebration of music, dance, and inspirational folk arts from around the globe--past, present and future. Each weekend brings a different performance group to the Mother Goose Stage. This year will feature traditional folkdancing from Mexico, India, and Ireland--via Folklorico Aztlan de Sacramento, Sangreet Bharati, and the Kennelly School of Irish Dance--not to mention cutting edge tribal bellydance from Fairytale Town favorites Unmata. You’ll hear bagpipe melodies from Scotland and stirring drums from Africa. You’ll see beautiful dances from Polynesia, colorful costumes from Romania—and, as always, the International Festival is free with your paid park admission. The International Festival at Fairytale Town runs four weekends (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday) from July 4 to July 27. Matinee performances are at 12:00noon and 2PM.
